Bell Rock is a butte near Village of Oak Creek south of Sedona and is known by its distinctive bell shape. It is also the location of an energy vortex. We headed to the area on the east side known for its energy and hoped to penetrate my husband’s injured ankle from the day before, and my injured hip from a fall two days before. We drove to the closest parking lot, paid our fee, and limped upward.
There are four main “earth energy” vortexes in Greater Sedona — but two of the strongest and most beautiful are in or near Sedona’s Village of Oak Creek.
In addition to being a beautiful and serene place, Greater Sedona has long been known as a spiritual power center and famous for its energy vortexes that many believe saturate the area in a subtle but positive way.

The rocks are warm from the early sun and a cool breeze makes this an ideal morning. We lay on the base of a gigantic rock for thirty minutes. When I first reclined, my left foot was pointed outward because of my hip displacement. After an hour, my foot was straight and there was a “buzzing” in the area around my hip. I cannot explain it – I just enjoyed feeling better.

My husband’s injury was not improving so we scheduled an urgent care appoint. He could navigate with a walking stick, but we had to go to the Urgent care that day. We waited with our Covid masks for four hours before he departed with a lovely “Boot.”
