Picture This Screamer

My BFF and my husband ate lunch at El Jardin at the Botanical Gardens for my birthday. They had great “bowls” with fresh raw vegetables, nuts, squash, and dressing. 

The garden plants were completely devastated from the 2021 Big Texas snow and freeze. Signs of survival were small shoots of green near the roots. What survived? It was too early to tell.

 What is your favorite Botanical Garden memory? Do you enjoy visiting ones in different places and countries?

Our eyes were captured by the competition for the best giant origami sculptures. 

The greenhouse observatory showed so many beautiful and different orchids as well as the carnivorous insect eating plants. It was at the end of Covid paranoia and people were glad to be outside, soaking in beauty and out of their houses into nature.
