Writing for the first time in four months at the end of December 2022 is surreal. The autumn was filled with trips to Yellowstone and Yosemite National Parks on trips with family and friends. But very little hiking , more strolling and sauntering.
My health challenges continued to challenge my hiking trips and yet no answers. Three doctors said , “I am releasing you from care even if we do not know what is wrong.” I must adapt to this new reality.
In 2022 I will be changing the blog format to be more introspective, acknowledging my changing from active participant in long hikes, to memories and observations of nature.
Blessings to all who read and have followed these years of hiking and travel adventures. Perhaps you will push yourself to travel, hike, and take just one more longer walk or trip. You never know when limitations may occur. See you in 2022!
For to us a child has come, to us a son is given; and the government has been placed in his hands; and he has been named Wise Guide, Strong God, Father for ever, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his rule and of peace there will be no end, on the seat of David, and in his kingdom; to make it strong, supporting it with wise decision and righteousness, now and for ever. By the fixed purpose of the Lord of armies this will be done. Isaiah 9:6-7 Modern English
