Walking in Florida is like breathing water. The cloying humidity requires us to get up and be done with any mileage walks by 8:30 am. Lizards with curled tails reminded us of scorpions. Big scorpions. Luckily, on this trip I did not see any alligators and that is quite all right with me. Someone asked us when we were moving to Florida. My husband answered, “Two words: Nev…ver…” There is a beauty to south Florida, but we prefer the coolness of a Colorado perfect summer.
